Urban Water Management Plans

This Valley Center Municipal Water District Urban Water Management Plan is the formal document to satisfy the requirements of the UWMP Act and also incorporates the requirements of the Water Conservation Act of 2009. This Plan describes the availability of water and discusses water use, reclamation, and water conservation activities. The Plan concludes that the water supplies available to the Valley Center Municipal Water District’s (District’s) customers are adequate over the next 20-year planning period. Although submitted in 2016, in compliance with the required submittal deadline of July 1, 2016, the Plan is referred to as the 2015 Plan because the UWMP Act requires water agencies to prepare an UWMP every five years. This Plan maintains consistency with the five-year submittal cycle.
